Featured | Wretch 32: ‘6 Words’

This week’s featured video comes from English rapper Wretch 32, who evidently isn’t intimidated by the thought of trying something new with his music. Formerly a Grime MC who was a member of the grime collective ‘Combination Chain Gang,’ before forming The Movement with Scorcher, Ghetts, and Mercston, Wretch released his first single ‘Traktor‘ in January 2011.

I can’t sing but I wrote you a song, yeah
Wrong notes but the melody’s so clear…

6 Words‘ is the third single from Wretch’s upcoming album Growing Over Life after ‘Blackout‘ and ‘Doing OK.’ You can expect the album early next year. ‘6 words’ was premiered by Zane Lowe on Radio 1 and he made it his hottest record in the world so it’s definitely a track worth checking out. The official UK release of the single on iTunes and other outlets is on 16 November on Ministry of Sound Recordings. The song also features backing vocals from session singers Teni Tinks and Vicky Tola.
