G.O.O.D Music’s Pusha T has a reason to smile today as his long-awaited My Name Is My Name solo debut has cracked the Top 5 and landed on the music sales chart. Pusha managed to push out a little over 74,000 copies in week one landing the album at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
The album was backed by the singles ‘Pain‘ featuring Future and ‘Sweet Serenade’ featuring Chris Brown. Considering this is Pusha’s debut solo album, the 36-year-old veteran rapper from Virginia had a commendable performance on the charts. His first week tally here also more than doubles what he and his brother No Malice as Clipse did in 2009 with Til the Casket Drops. Let’s just hope Pusha keeps the numbers on the boards as the weeks go by.
