Coventry’s Urban Music Scene: Who’s Really Getting Their-selves Out There?

Blog Logo  Now, the people that have known me for quite some time know that I am the kind of person that is constantly exploring new music, listening to different genres as well as trying to discover some fresh talent but above all, I like to be inspired by what I hear and see. Especially when it comes to fresh talent, young rappers, MCs, film makers and what not. It’s always inspiring to see someone in the same age group as myself put their stuff out there and get recognized for it. It gets you moving.

  The thing about the music industry is you have to get yourself out there and I’ve seen some artists as well as groups do that around Coventry. It’s keeping the city’s music scene alive. For acts like Pest, Samson, Urban Fresh, S.W.A.T Team, Influential Entertainment among many others, the journey continues; and with the support of the city, it could be a lot easier.

Visuals for ‘Dope’ from Urban Fresh’s Afrojosh who teamed up with Samson to freestyle over ‘Dope’ which samples ‘Deep Cover‘ by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
